It was okay. We had a team lunch and Fernando’s was voted on as the place to eat. Our waitress was nice and there was no problem with our service. The restaurant was clean and looked to be well maintained. I ordered the Nacho El Kitchen Sinko. I opted for the chicken instead of the beef.
This order was $10.99 and was the upgraded version of their nachos that included lettuce, olives, tomato, scallions, sour cream, guacamole and beans. My order of course is to hold the beans. We didn’t have long of a wait and when our orders came out my portion was HUGE, which is totally fine since I am the #OmahaFattie!
Now, to the taste…The guacamole had good flavor and overall the nachos were decent, but the chicken was a flop for me. There didn’t seem to be a lot of flavor to it. If I ate a bite with everything and salsa it was better, though I think that the meat should be seasoned to also stand on it’s own.
As I said before the portion size was more than enough and it was worth the cost. I had plenty for leftovers. If I went back I would try a different meat option. I wouldn’t tell anyone to steer clear of this restaurant as I feel like they do some good things and it is worth a try. I think others in the group enjoyed their meals.
