The Bubbly Tart
The Bubbly Tart is located at 3020 Leavenworth Street Suite 1 Omaha, Nebraska 68105. It was the location of one of our recent Saturday morning outings where the mission was to support local. We stopped at 3 different spots on this particular day; it was our final destination.
Prior to The Bubbly Tart we stopped out to the Brownie Bar and Diana’s Papillion Tea Shop. My friend, Jessica, has a daughter that works there. Make sure to say hello to Emma if you visit.
By the time we got there it was time for lunch, so we got a couple of sandwiches for my daughters along with our sweet treats. We got a couple of Macarons for my youngest daughter, a mini-S’more Cheesecake for my oldest daughter, and Gluten Free/Vegan Oatmeal Pie & a Gluten Free/Vegan Oatmeal Pie Chocolate Chip Cookie for my wife and I personally got an Oatmeal Pie for myself. I was excited to see the vegan options for my wife. She’s not vegan, but she doesn’t get to enjoy all of the goodies that my daughters and I get to eat because of an allergy to dairy. I like to grab available items whenever I get the chance.
While we were at the Tart, I could tell that people loved it as there was a steady flow of people. We were there for a little while as I had to get my photos. Due to COVID there was no seating allowed at the
time, but that was totally fine by me as we don’t generally dine out. I’m cool with getting my food to-go.
The location was really clean and had a lot of open space with a wall of windows that provided a nice view. There was also a cool faux foliage wall that displayed their business name. I think that a lot of
people use this area for their photo opps as I saw one other foodie post onInstagram.
We dug into our haul as soon as we got home. I didn’t eat any of the Turkey Sandwiches that were beautifully displayed on thick slices of Focaccia Bread.
I asked each daughter what they thought and the youngest went with a 10 out of 10 and the oldest went with a 7.5 out of 10. Pretty decent scores. The dessert items were pretty good, but the consensus is that they were too sweet. The cheesecake was too
sweet for my daughter to finish it in one sitting, the same with my wife for her Oatmeal Pie and my pie was the same.
Don’t expect a Little Debbie! The Oatmeal Pie is not like what Debbie whips in the kitchen and that’s okay. The cookie sandwich is composed of 2 legit oatmeal cookies that were a little harder than what
comes out of the box. The crème in the middle was nice and smooth. I liked the cookie as mentioned, but the sweet punches you in the taste buds with the strength of a Mike Tyson uppercut. Maybe not quite that strong, but strong. I like sweets too so that’s saying something.
I think that the price is comparable to what you would find in a nice location for bakeries in Omaha.
Without tip we were at just under $30. That seems reasonable and I was happy to trade my American currency for these treats to support a local business. I wish the Tart much success!
I give Bubbly Tart 4 Fatties. If there was a little less sweetness, I think we would score a 5. Have you been? If so, what do you think?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my thoughts on food. You are amazing!
