Okinawa Sushi
First, I have to apologize that it has taken me so long to sit down and write this blog. Okinawa Sushi is a very good restaurant that we have visited on multiple occasions and we never have any complaints. The most recent visit was a date night for my wife and I on October 15th. Sheesh, I knew it was a while ago, but didn’t think it had been that long. I had to look up the date the photos were taken to confirm. My bad!
I know that over the years and especially in recent past there seem to be a multitude of good restaurants to visit, at times making a choice on where to eat a tough decision. If you have yet to try Okinawa, I assure you that this is a place to add to your list. I’ve said before that I am not a food critic, but I know what I like and I like good food. They have a huge selection on their menu and offer
more than just sushi. On this particular visit I decided to try the General Tsao’s Chicken. It was an easy choice because we often have to stay away from spicier options when our youngest kid is with us and I was super happy that it came with broccoli; one of my favorite vegetables!
Okay, this is where it gets really fun. Do you like cheesecake? What about fried cheesecake? Oh man, it was so good. After dinner we were given a complimentary slice for our anniversary. We were so grateful for the offer and the amazing dessert was the cherry on top of our evening. Warm on the outside, cold on the inside, and so thick and creamy! If I didn’t love the sushi so much I would go there just for the cheesecake. Haha.
I LOVE visiting places where the owners are accessible. It makes you feel special when the owner comes out and visits with you. From our visit in the summer I snapped a pic with the owner. This is a great appeal of small businesses and I am happy to support these groups. I’m glad that this was the place that we selected for our date night and I’ll be ready to go back for another visit in the near future.
Want sushi, but don’t want to go out? You can order delivery service through Skip The Dishes. It is nice to get out to the restaurant, but in a pinch when you need to scratch your food itch this will get it done.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
