Margarita’s is legit! We have been visiting the establishment for years. Back to when they were on the North Side of I-80 next to Burger King on Grover. Currently they are located just south of L Street at 4915 S 72nd St, Omaha. My wife is a HUGE fan of Mexican Food and she could probably eat it every day. We had gone a few months back for my brother-in-law’s girlfriend’s birthday.
Most recently, we visited for lunch when I had a day off from work. I ordered a lunch special that had a taco, burrito and rice. The taco and burrito we great. The only thing that wasn’t 100% on point for me personally was the rice. It was a little saltier than I would have liked, but it was still very good. I will say that my wife liked it just fine. She does tend to enjoy salt a little more than I. It looked like it was a lot of food when it came out, but I was so hungry that it never stood a chance. It’s like I’m the David Copperfield of good food. It was a mistake to eat so fast because I was stuffed by the time my meal was gone. I enjoyed the food so much that I must have blacked out and gone into a crazed state of food bashing. What I did to my plate is probably illegal in a few states. Haha.
My wife on the other hand had a different approach to her Fajitas Meal. The sizzle heard as it was brought to the table is an unmistakable sound that captures the attention of everyone as it passes by. It sounded and smelled amazing. I had to ask for a couple bites of the sizzling steak. There was so much flavor in each bite of that even though I was stuffed I wanted more. My wife said, “this is my favorite place for fajitas.” I can certainly see why and I think that might be what I order on the next visit. There was plenty for her and she had leftovers. I love when we eat at place that gives you enough for more than 1 meal.
Our server was pretty good too. He came and checked on us multiple times during our lunch. Our water stayed refilled and he asked us if we needed anything else and how everything was. Sometimes as a society we may overlook good service or take it for granted. Often times we only mention service when something bad happened and I love to report when we have good service. The service and atmosphere are just as important as the meal. No matter how good the food is at a place, I don’t think I’d support it if the service lacked on every visit. I don’t recall a time where we didn’t have acceptable serice at Margarita’s.
I don’t necessarily like to compare restaurants or think about which one spot is better than another spot. I just go to as many places as I can that I enjoy. I support where I can and Margarita’s is one of those places that we are happy to eat at. If you are like my wife and love Mexican Food, I would say that this place is worthy of giving them a shot.
I give Margarita’s 4 Fatties! Have you been? If so, what do you think?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my thoughts on food. You are amazing!
